I guess there will always be technology skeptics. It’s healthy to question the benefits of something you have never used.
On the other hand, it seems fashionable to dismiss the possibilities that Gen AI brings to healthcare.
✅ Is it easy to just doubt the role of machines in keeping us healthy?
✅ Has the press scared them into thinking doctors will be replaced?
✅ Do they struggle to see how busy clinicians would find time to learn a new technology?
✅ Are they worried about the risks to patient safety?
Any technology presents legitimate concerns. That should not stop us from experimenting with, using, and learning Gen AI applications in healthcare!
I long for more constructive conversations about AI in healthcare where the exchange can be more about what worked, how you got it to work for your situation, and why, rather than a binary Gen AI good, or Gen AI bad.
🤔 I wonder how many skeptics actively use Gen AI daily? I wonder how many know they are actually already passively using it…
